H.E. Eng. Osama Al Zamil has a long experience that has made its mark in the development and renaissance of investment and industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Served as Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources from 2019 to 2023, where he also chaired 13 committees and a member of 31 committees and councils as a representative of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources.

Held many positions as volunteer in the public sector and chaired and participated in the membership of many boards of directorsand professional committees, the most important of which is the National Industrial Committee of the Federation of Saudi Chambers from 2017 to 2019 and a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Riyadh and Chairman of the National Industrial Committeefrom 2016 to 2019.

Established an advocate Saudi Elite “Sinaee 2030” a group of industrialist to present to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince in November 2018 “Saudi National Industrial Agenda” from Private Sector perspective.

Establishment of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in 2019, one year after the meeting with his Royal Highness the Crown Prince during which, numerous achievements were made for the industrial sector :

• Designing, approving and activating the National Industrial Strategy
• Designing and approving the Corporate Strategy for the Industrial ecosystem and its governance through a robust governance model of the industrial ecosystem lead by an empowered, resourced Ministry of Industrial and Mineral Resources orchestrating the regulation and development of the industrial sector.
• Activating the structure of the ministry (establishing deputyships and attracting leaders)
• Facilitating investors affairs and resolving their challenges, such as 181 resolution, and increasing their investments. The number of industries increased from 7,000 to 11,000 since the ministry’s establishment until 2023.
